Who Can Apply & How

The course is open to young professionals and music students from anywhere in the world. Whilst many applications come from Conservatoires, we warmly encourage applicants from Universities and from anyone hoping to be in the profession soon.

There are a few places for non-orchestra players. The cost is the same, but you will be expected to carry out a few duties, such as shifting percussion, selling programmes and stewarding at concerts.

Download & complete this form (word format)and send to the address at the bottom of the form or by email. Or contact us to be sent a form.

If you are accepted onto the course before 1 May 2019 you will be asked for a deposit of £80 and final payment of £160 one month later. If you apply on or after 1 May 2019 and are accepted then the full £240 will be requested at that time. Cheques should be made payable to: Amadeus Chorus and Orchestra. If you wish to pay by electronic transfer contact us for bank details.

How Much Does it Cost?

£240 is all it costs for the week. This takes care of all your needs, including food, accommodation and travel to the concerts, although you may need some money for the bar. Course fees are non-refundable.

If you know of a company or individual who will pay half or more of your fee, your benefactor will be named in the programmes as Sponsor of your Chair. (Students often get their parents to sponsor their chair.) Many music colleges will help with the cost of courses, if applied for in good time. We will offer five half price places to people with genuine financial hardships. Contact us for more details.
